Chicken Breast (boneless) 2
Salt 1 teaspoon
Black Pepper 1 teaspoon
Mustard Powder 1 teaspoon
Paprika Powder 1 teaspoon
Self-raising flours 1 cup
Salt ½ teaspoon
Milk ½ cup
Oil 2 tablespoon
- Always, marinate your chicken over night or at least 5-6 hours before cooking.
- Make sure the oil’s temperature for frying is right. If it is too hot, the pops will burn from the outside and remain undercooked from inside. If, the temperature is cold, the pops will become soggy and oily.
- Never allow any kid inside the kitchen when deep frying stuff.
Cut chicken into bite sized pieces.
In a bowl, mix salt, mustard powder, paprika powder and marinate the chicken for at least 3-4 hours.
When it is time for the guests to arrive, in a bowl mix self-rising flour, salt, egg, milk and oil and whisk until a smooth batter is formed.
(Tip: Sieve the flour before using it to avoid any inedible particles)
For deep frying, place the oil on flame on medium heat for 10 minutes and wait for it to get oil.
(Tip: When adding oil and egg in the flours, whisk continuously to avoid lumps)
When the temperature is right, dip the chicken pieces in the batter and drop in the oil for frying.
Fry on medium heat until golden brown.
Take them out on tissue paper so the extra oil is soaked up.
