Eid al Adha is celebrated on the 10th of Zil Hajj every year and all the Muslims around the globe offer sacrifice of goats, cows or sheep for the sake of Allah Almighty. If we talk about Pakistan specifically, people usually get their animals slaughtered right in front of their houses. There is no such trend of getting your animals slaughtered in the slaughterhouse which results in an increase of germs and bacteria. It is very important to stay safe and healthy during this holy festival to enjoy it to the maximum. Here is how you can celebrate Eid al Adha 2019 in a healthy way;
1) Have a proper breakfast
Even though there are big meals coming ahead on Eid al Adha, it never really means that you should not have a proper breakfast. On this holy festival, you need extra energy to work efficiently throughout the day which is why a good and healthy start is very important. So, have a breakfast that includes fruits and other energy-providing items.
2) Have meals in small proportions
Because Eid al Adha brings lots of heavy meal for you, make sure that you care about your health and don’t get too excited and eat everything you have. The meat of freshly slaughtered animal takes time to digest and if you consume a lot of meat in a single meal, it can disturb your metabolism and can cause bloating. You would never want to get sick and lie on the bed in this busy and enjoyable holy festival so, eat whatever you want but, in small proportions so that you don’t make your stomach upset and enjoy the Eid as much as you can.
3) Avoid fizzy drinks
Avoid soft drinks this Eid 2019 because the monsoon season is going on and these can have a bad effect on your health. You can, however, drink green tea after every meal or a single cup per day.
4) Cover the blood of animal with sand
As we are facing rainy season so, mixing of blood of freshly slaughtered animal with rainwater can cause contamination and production of a huge pool of bacteria and viruses that are likely to adversely affect the health of everyone in your area. In order to avoid this, cover the blood of your animal with sand as soon as it gets slaughtered so that the blood doesn’t mix with the water and gets absorbed into the sand which can easily be thrown away without risking any life.
5) Safer barbeque
No one leaves the chance to have a barbeque on this occasion. But, there are some important tips to do it safely such as;
- Never cook meat directly onto flame of burning coal.
- Start grilling when the coals are completely burnt.
- Clean all the barbeque tools before you begin to grill.
- Use smaller pieces of meat to grill as they are cooked in lesser time.
With these simple tips, you can enjoy every Eid al Adha 2019 in a much safer and healthier way.
