Katori Chaat Recipe With Mango Iced Tea

Katori Chaat Recipe-Crispy and crunchy

Chaat is one dish that works just fine as an appetizer and snack.  This Ramdan add a twist to your chaats and try out his katori chaat recipe that is crispy, crunchy and finger licking good.

Ingredients card:

For Dough (katori):

Maida (All-purpose flour) 2 Cups

Salt 1 teaspoon

Oil  2 & ½ tablespoons

Water (lukewarm)    ½ Cup or as required

Oil  for frying

For Meethi Chutney:

Tamarind pulp 1 Cup

Sugar ¾ Cup or to taste

Sonth (Dried ginger powder) 1 teaspoon

Red chili powder 1 teaspoon

Fennel seeds (powdered)  1 teaspoon

Red chili (crushed)   ½ teaspoon

Salt   To taste

For Green Chutney:

Green chilies 2-3

Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

Salt To taste

Mint leaves ½ Cup

Coriander leaves ½ Cup

Water As required

For Chaat:

Chickpeas(channay) 1 Cup (boiled)

Potatoes 2 Cup (boiled)

Onion (chopped) 1 medium

Tomato (deseeded)           1 medium

Green chili (chopped) 1-2

Salt to taste

Chaat masala to taste


For dough:

In a bowl add maida, salt, oil and mix well.

Gradually add lukewarm water and knead out a smooth dough. Let it rest for 15-20 minutes.

Next, make small balls, roll them out, prick with a fork and roll them over small bowls.

Smooth out the edges and fry until golden brown. Remove the bowl once the katori is fried.

For Methi Chutney:

Add imli (tamarind) pulp, ginger, red chili powder, fennel seeds, crushed red chili, salt and sugar. Cook until the sugar has dissolved and it becomes of a thick consistency.

For Green Chutney:

In a blender add green chilies, lemon juice, mint leaves, coriander leaves, salt and some water. Blend until mixed well.

For Chaat:

Mix chickpeas, boiled potatoes, onion, tomatoes, green chilies, salt and chat masala and mix well.

For assembly:

Take katori one by one. Add chana chat, pour over green and methi chutney as per your taste, some yogurt, sev and chat masala.

Your katori chat recipe is done and ready to be served.

This katori chat recipe makes 6-7 katoris and is extremely delicious, packed with flavors and crunchiness.

Mango Iced Tea recipe- A Thirst quenching drink

The wait for everyone’s favorite fruit is finally over. With mangoes filling the market places quickly, it is time to try out mango iced tea recipe, a drink that is revitalizing and fresh.

Ingredients card:

Mango (cubes) 1 & ½ Cups

Water          1 Cup

Brown sugar          6 tbs or to taste

Boiling water   2 Cups

Lipton lemon green tea-bags 2

Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

Ice cubes As required


In a blender, add mangoes and water and blend until puree is formed.

Now, strain the puree in a pot. Add brown sugar and let it cook for 4-5 minutes on medium heat.

Once cooked, let it cool down. The puree alone can easily be refrigerated up to a month.

Boil water, dip Lipton lemon green tea and let it sit for 2-3 minutes.

Once cooled, add ¼ cup of mango puree and lemon juice in the prepared green tea and mix well.

Your mango iced tea is ready to be served.
