Peri Peri Bites Recipe- Spice up Ramzan

Craving for something super spicy for iftari today? Than do try this super quick and easy peri peri bites recipe with a twist. You must have loved eating chili pakoras your entire life, but these peri peri bites will surely make you fall in love with them.

So, without any further ado, here is easiest peri peri bites recipe for you.

Ingredients card:

For filling:

Chicken (fillet)        250 gm

Salt                          1 Teaspoon

Large green chilies   12 -18

Peri peri sauce       2 tablespoons or to taste

Mozzarella cheese    4 (slices)

Vinegar  2 Tablespoon

Oil             for frying

For coating:

Flour 1 cup

Bread crumbs 1 and ½ cup

Eggs 3

For dip:

Honey                     2 tablespoon

Peri peri sauce      2 tablespoon

Mayonnaise         4 tablespoons

Directions:

Firstly, boil the chicken with some salt and set aside when done.

In a pan heat some oil and fry the chicken. Add peri peri sauce and let it cook for 5-6 minutes.

(Tip: for those who love spicy things can increase the quantity of peri peri sauce)

Next, cut the chicken fillet and mozzarella cheese into smaller size that will easily fit inside the chilies.

Place a cut on the chilies and deseed them.

Put them in water with vinegar and let sit for 15-20 minutes. Take out and pat dry.

(Tip: Putting them in vinegar water will help reduce the natural spiciness of the chillies)

Now, take the chicken and mozzarella slices and fill the chilies with them.

For coating:

In a bowl beat eggs for coating.

Take the chilies one by one, dip them in flour (maida) first, than in eggs and lastly coat them with breadcrumbs.

Repeat this for all the chilies and fry until golden brown.

For dip:

Take mayonnaise, peri peri sauce and honey in a bowl and mix well.

Serve the dip with your peri peri bites and enjoy!

Falsa Sharbat Recipe- Beating the heat

With falsa (Grewia) filling the markets quickly, how can one resist its sharbat that too in such heat and sun. here is a falsa sharbat recipe to cut the spiciness of peri peri bites and keep you cool.

Ingredients card:

Falsa           ½ kg

Water           I cup

Sugar          To taste

Ice cubes    As required

Water           2 glasses

Directions:

Wash the falsa thoroughly and keep aside.

In a blender add 1 cup water and falsa and blend well.

Now, take a sieve and pass the grainy syrup through it until you get a smooth liquid at the base.

Once done, pour the sieved falsa syrup in blender, add sugar, more water and ice cubes.

Blend, pour into glasses and serve chilled.

Additional information:

This falsa sharbat recipe makes around 3-4 glasses and the sugar/falsa content can be adjusted as per your taste. This drink is super fresh, chilled and healthy.
